A new phishing scam is using blank image attachments and a trusted brand name to trick victims into downloading malware.
Targets receive a convincing-looking but fake email that appears to come from a widely used e-signature platform.
The malicious code is so well hidden in the attachment that some anti-virus software isn’t spotting the threat.
So if you use software to sign documents electronically, you should double-check that emails are genuine before opening any attachments.
There’s a reason why criminals have chosen to impersonate a trusted name.
This scam is ingenious. But good systems and good training can keep you one step ahead.
If that’s something you need help with, get in touch.

“Our email wasn’t performing very well so we asked Hamilton Systems to take a look & Carl proposed to migrate us to MS Exchange.
Carl was very helpful throughout & the migration went very well.
He was on hand to sort out any teething issues, taking calls early morning & into the night, to ensure we were up & running smoothly.
Would recommend for knowledge, attention to detail & great customer service.”
