Some use a technique called Brute Force using software they try millions of different combinations of letters and numbers until they get in.
If you choose a word that is in the dictionary it is even easier for them to figure it out.
With so much shared online often all it takes is a quick search of your Social Media profiles.
Hackers are often given clues such as pets names to anniversaries.
